RoomFit is a free 2D room planner for testing furniture arrangements before moving anything. Use it on a phone, tablet or computer.
1. Measure and shape your room
Select a room and enter its width and depth in the control panel. Choose metres or feet under More. Use a rectangle, square, L-shaped or angled outline. To adjust a custom outline, select Custom outline and use Redraw. Tap each corner in order, then finish. Walls must not cross.
2. Add furniture and carpets
Open Add furniture and select a piece. Drag it into place, then select it to edit its real width and depth in the same control panel. Carpets sit underneath other furniture. Pieces can overlap so you can test layered arrangements.
3. Rotate precisely
Use the rotation slider or enter a whole angle from 0° to 359°. Rooms and furniture rotate in one-degree steps. In Whole home view, drag rooms to arrange or overlap them. Open an individual room to see neighboring rooms in context.
4. Keep your plan
Your editable layout saves in this browser on this device. Export downloads a PNG image of the current room or whole-home view. A PNG is a picture and cannot restore an editable plan. Logging in does not sync layouts between devices. Print, under More, creates a paper or PDF reference.
Plan a small room without guessing
Measure the room along each wall, then measure your largest furniture first. Try the bed or sofa in several positions before adding smaller pieces. Keep routes between doors and furniture clear, and check whether drawers and cupboard doors can open. A top-down plan helps compare layouts, but it cannot test physical access for you.
Can I create an irregular floor plan?
Yes. Use an L-shaped or angled preset, or draw a custom outline with up to 20 corners. RoomFit supports up to 12 rooms in a plan. Rotate rooms to any whole degree and position them in Whole home view.
Does RoomFit work on a phone?
Yes. On a phone, the floor plan takes most of the screen and the controls start collapsed. Tap Edit room or Edit furniture to open them, and Hide controls to return to the large view. Tap + Furniture to open the catalog. Drag with your finger to move objects.
Is RoomFit free, and do I need an account?
The planner is free to use in your browser. You can make and export a plan without an account. An email account does not currently add cloud saving. Export a PNG picture to view or share elsewhere; the editable plan remains in this browser.
Check before you buy or build
Layouts are approximate. Check real measurements, doors, windows, access and clearances yourself. RoomFit is a planning aid, not a construction drawing or a structural design service.
